Depending on location, we know that pollinators, water preservation, potential ground cover enhancement, agrivoltaics, and some types of grazing can work in harmony with a solar project. The land that hosts the project can also be left fallow for an extended period, which supports and rebalances soil nutrients, re-establishes soil microorganisms, as well as assists in breaking crop pest and disease cycles. Once the project has reached the end of its operational life, the solar equipment can be removed from the site, completing a process known as ‘land reclamation.’
