Gemini Solar & Battery Storage
Location:

25 miles (40 kilometers) north of Las Vegas

Output:

690 MWac solar + 1,400 MW BESS

Date expected to be operational:

End of 2023

Partner:

NV Energy

Information:

Gemini is designed to bring low-cost renewable power to Nevada and will dedicate all of its output under a long-term (25-year) contract with NV Energy.

Iron Point Solar & Battery Storage
Location:

Humboldt County, NV

Output:

250 MWac solar + 200 MW BESS

Date expected to be operational:

December 2023

Partner:

NV Energy

Information:

In conjunction with Hot Pot, Iron Point will replace the coal-fired North Valmy Generation Station by 2025, will create several hundred construction jobs, and will help power 127,000 homes with renewable energy.

Pitkin Solar Project
Location:

Pitkin County, near Aspen, Colorado

Output:

5 MWac solar

Partner:

Holy Cross Energy

Information:

This 35-acre solar installation project is located near Woody Creek in the Roaring Fork Valley on land leased from the Aspen Consolidated Sanitation District (ACSD). There are approximately 13,700 solar panels installed by Primergy. Energy from the project will be sold to Holy Cross Energy, an electric co-op serving almost 45,000 members in Western Colorado, under a 25-year power purchase agreement.

Gemini Solar & Battery Storage

Gemini is believed to be among the world’s largest solar PV and battery storage projects announced to date. Gemini is designed to bring low-cost renewable power to Nevada and will feature nearly 2.5 million solar modules installed on less than 6,000 acres of land.

Hot Pot & Iron Point

Hot Pot & Iron Point are two solar plus storage projects that will back NV Energy's commitment to helping Nevada achieve its goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. These projects total 600 megawatts of energy and 480 megawatts of storage and will replace the coal-fired North Valmy Generation Station by 2025, while creating several hundred construction jobs.

Hesperus

Hesperus Solar Project is a 155 MWac solar array project located in La Plata County, Colorado. When operational in 2024, Hesperus will provide energy to around 56,000 homes annually in Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico. Hesperus will create more than 350 construction and permanent jobs as well as provide additional economic benefits to the area.
